Ingersoll Rand acquires Friulair

On February 1, Ingersoll Rand Inc., the world leader in compressor technology, acquired FRIULAIR to expand its capabilities and gain new air purification technologies.

Ingersoll Rand Inc., which owns such giants as Gardner Denver, CompAir and Champion, has added two more powerful plants to its assets. 

Friulair, based in Italy, is known for the design and manufacture of high-performance chillers, dehumidifiers, filters, coolers and other compressed air treatment equipment. Today, Friulair employs approximately 215 people and has sales of approximately $65 million.

With the acquisition of Friulair, Ingersoll Rand will increase its dehumidifier production capacity, add new chiller and heat pump product lines and technologies to its portfolio, and strengthen its penetration of the food and pharmaceutical end markets.
