Pneumatic system audit

Pneumatic audit is a set of measures to measure gas consumption, including compressed air at one or several sites, in order to determine the actual gas flow rate at a certain site, determine the gas flow rate at individual consumers, or determine the actual performance of the compressor equipment. Pneumatic audit is necessary for enterprises with a continuous production cycle, where they apply increased requirements to the reliability of pneumatic systems and compressor equipment.

The need for a pneumatic audit is due to the determination of the actual gas consumption in cases of upgrading old compressor stations or designing new ones, checking compressor equipment or gas consumers, as well as planning energy-saving measures.

In addition to compressed gas, the complex allows to measure the flow rate of nitrogen (N2), carbon dioxide (CO2), argon (Ar), oxygen (O2), nitrogen oxide (N2O).

To conduct a pneumatic audit, our company uses a professional tool from leading manufacturers, which allows the measurement of flow rates on compressed air lines with a diameter of 15 to 300 mm and compressed air pressure of up to 40 bar.

Before taking measurements, our specialist determines the places of inserts in the pipeline of the pneumatic system for the installation of sensors.

Pneumatic audit includes:

- measuring the consumption of compressed air by the enterprise;

- measurements of dew point parameters and moisture content;

The timing of the measurement depends on the specifics of the enterprise and the cycles of consumption of compressed air equipment and is determined for each case separately.

After measurements are taken, the data from the logger's memory is processed by a special program, graphs are built and target parameters are determined.

According to the received data, a report on the pneumatic audit is prepared with recommendations on the selection of equipment or on energy-saving measures.
