Operating Principle of CompAir CF Series Compressed Air Filters (Grade E)

CompAir CF Series Grade E filters are designed for general compressed air purification. The body of these filters is made of die-cast aluminum. Compressed air containing contaminants enters the filter, where it passes through a special filter element. This element effectively traps solid particles up to 1 micron in size, providing mechanical filtration. The operating principle is based on the mechanical separation of particles: air passes through a porous material, where larger particles are trapped on the surface or inside the filter media. Thanks to this mechanism, Grade E filters significantly reduce the amount of contamination in the air stream, helping to protect downstream equipment such as dryers, valves, tools, and production lines from damage. Collected condensate and contaminants can be easily removed using a manual drain.
