Last week, our engineering team completed a landmark project—the commissioning and connection of a high-capacity Ingersoll Rand compressor (355 kW) at one of Ukraine’s leading cement plants. This compressor features an optional soft-start system for the main motor, which significantly simplifies its operation in flexible modes involving frequent starts and stops.
The new equipment was integrated into the existing system alongside our other compressors, which are already operating successfully at the facility. This step allowed the customer to decommission an outdated turbo compressor, whose energy costs had become critically uneconomical in today’s market.
The RS355ie is a fixed-speed, twin-screw oil-injected compressor, which is the most efficient heavy-duty screw compressor model in the world currently in series production.
What are the advantages of the RS355ie:
- Energy efficiency: significantly reduces the cost per cubic meter of compressed air.
- A 6300 V power supply and a special soft-start system for the main motor greatly simplify the use of the compressor in flexible, intermittent operating modes, as the compressor’s starting currents are minimized.
- Performance, durability, and reliability: the compressor is designed for continuous operation under harsh conditions.
- System flexibility: synergy with the compressor system allows for load optimization based on production needs.
For over 20 years, Compressors International has represented and collaborated with a number of global leaders in the field of compressor technology in Ukraine. Our company offers a comprehensive approach: from thorough energy audits and payback calculations to engineering integration into existing production lines, as well as the supply and maintenance of compressor systems. We take responsibility for every stage, ensuring that new capacity becomes the foundation for the smooth and energy-efficient operation of Ukrainian industry.
