Description Gardner Denver GDF0128LFP compressed air filter (Grade P)
Gardner Denver — a global leader in the manufacture of compressed air equipment and treatment systems — presents the GDF Grade P filter series, designed for reliable protection of pneumatic systems at the primary stage of purification. Clean compressed air is a critical requirement for protecting expensive equipment from abrasive wear, ensuring stable pneumatic tool operation, and reducing repair and maintenance costs.
Grade P is a pre-filtration class for the primary removal of bulk contaminants, dust, rust, and scale from compressed air. These filters provide effective removal of solid particles down to 1 micron.

Design Features
- Industrial Standard Steel Housing Unlike smaller models, the housing is made of welded structural steel (Fabricated Housing). This ensures maximum mechanical stability during high-flow operations. Each housing undergoes rigorous pressure testing and complies with international safety standards for pressure vessels.
- Anti-Corrosion Coating To protect against aggressive oil-water emulsions, the steel housing undergoes comprehensive treatment. Both internal and external surfaces are coated with a special protective layer that prevents rust and guarantees a long service life (decades) in harsh industrial environments.
- Automatic No-Loss Drain Options The industrial series models are equipped with two types of condensate drainage systems that operate without compressed air leaks:
Float Drain: A reliable mechanical drain operating on the buoyancy principle. It requires no electricity and triggers automatically as condensate accumulates.
Electronic No-Loss Drain: An intelligent electronic condensate drain with a level sensor. It ensures precise condensate discharge with zero pressure loss, making it the most energy-efficient solution.
Operating technology
The air purification process occurs in three stages, utilizing physical laws combined with an innovative element structure:
Inertial Separation: At the filter inlet, the airflow abruptly changes direction. Large liquid droplets and heavy scale hit the walls of the housing due to inertia and flow downward without overloading the filter material.
Depth Filtration: Air passes through multi-layered glass fiber elements. Thanks to the gradient density (loose outer layers, dense inner layers), dust and rust particles down to 1 μm are trapped within the depth of the material. This ensures free air passage and minimal pressure drop.
Automatic Discharge: Accumulated condensate enters the chosen drain chamber (Float or Electronic), which opens only when full, preventing the loss of valuable compressed air.
Main Advantages
✅ High Flow Capacity — optimized for large industrial compressor stations.
✅ Energy Efficiency (Zero Loss) — automatic drainage systems eliminate costly compressed air leaks.
✅ Minimal Pressure Drop — less than 0.1 bar on a clean element, reducing the load on the compressor.
✅ Reliable Flanged Connection — ensures leak-tightness and ease of installation in large pipelines.
Installation recommendations
For maximum efficiency, GDF Grade P filters are recommended for installation:
Main Airline: Immediately after the compressor or receiver to protect the entire facility's system.
Before High-Capacity Dryers: To protect heat exchangers from mechanical dirt and rust.
On Production Lines: As the primary barrier before critical pneumatic equipment.
